The Apparel Textiles and Merchandising program helped in my education by widening my understanding of the industry and the world as a whole. You don’t realize how many things in life actually tie together until you study a topic that ties into everything. Without this degree I would not know that clothing/textiles is the second leading cause that is effecting the environment to this day. Our major is mainly project based so I think that it helps us for our future jobs since we will have a lot of projects in any profession we go into. The ATM major is helpful since it is so broad, so I have an understanding of everything in the fashion industry. With my degree I am qualified for any entry level job and have the knowledge to understand any challenge that comes up.
